WECIA annual meeting
Westwood Estates Community Improvement Association (HOA) annual meeting happens on Monday, January 28 at 7 p.m. at Mary Branch Elementary School cafeteria. Please note, we normally have it on MLK day but not this year. Please remember to mail in your proxy if you cannot attend the meeting. We would appreciate all residents that can attend. You help us make decisions for your community. If you miss getting your proxy in the mail on time, you can bring to your block captain.
WECIA board meeting cancelled
The Westwood Estates Community Improvement Association board meeting for tomorrow Nov. 13 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a date in November to be determined.
Westwood Estates HOA meeting on Monday
Westwood Estates HOA Board will have a scheduled meeting on Monday, Sept. 17, 7 p.m. in the park. We encourage and invite all Westwood residents to attend. Brent Hairston of Hummingbird Circle will be serving on Bryan City Council next term. He will be attending the HOA meeting. It will be a good opportunity to meet him in person.

Westwood HOA July Board meeting will be held on Monday, July 16 at 7 p.m. in the park. You are encouraged to attend meetings to be informed of important issues in our neighborhood. Everyone who lives in Westwood Estates is invited to attend.
Monthly HOA meeting has been rescheduled
The monthly WECIA board meeting has been rescheduled for next Monday, September 25 at 7 p.m. in the park. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Tonight’s meeting cancelled
WECIA board meeting scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for the 3rd Monday of August, 7 p.m.

Board authorized 2 additional lawn cuts/park maintenance and will finalize contract with existing contractor by making necessary payment of $280.00

Old business:
Check for $100 paid to Mary Branch for snowcone machine was misplaced. New check will be issued.
WECIA Halloween party was held in the park on Halloween Day, October 31. It was well attended – over 90 people.
The Board authorized Association Services to collect approximately $700 to bring the delinquent dues account of a homeowner to “in good standing” status. Payment must be made within 60 days from time of contact with homeowner.
A partial payment of homeowner dues was made by a homeowner recently. The Board agreed to terms for this situation. Letter to homeowner from Association Services will state that balance is to be paid within 90 days.
New business:
Any resident submitting a bid for park maintenance is to include “hold harmless” agreement OR proof of insurance with WECIA listed as “Additional Insured.”
The Annual HOA Meeting will be held on January 16, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Mary Branch Elementary School cafeteria.

Block and Officer’s Report: block reports were discussed
Old Business:
Board authorized Mike S. to contact prospective buyer owning RV and wanting to park at prospective residence to give approval by board members.
Board authorized Jim C. to advise property management to begin process for collecting delinquent homeowner dues.
New Business:
National Night Out: October 4. Will be held in the park. Food, drinks and community service people will be present. Dewberry will have their own party.
Halloween party will be hosted by the HOA board on Monday, October 31 – 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Pizza, drinks and costume contest.
HOA will purchase a snow cone machine from Mary Branch Elementary School for $100. Will be stored at board member’s home.
Next Meeting: Monday, November 21 at 7 p.m. at Jim Carter’s home on Wilderness
