Call to order: 7:01 p.m.
Board members present: Walter K., Elaine P., Robert M., Isaac L.

Minutes from previous mtg.: reviewed and accepted with one change shown below
Treasurer’s Report: $29,102.96, please note last month minutes report should read $29,949.50
Block and Officer’s Report: nothing to report
Old Business:
The neighborhood Halloween party had 100 in total attendance! A grand thanks goes out to the Staffords who generously provided the entire party.
The Park Entrance sign is still under discussion.
The Board will be getting bids for tree trimming in the park.
New Business:
The WECIA Annual meeting will be held at Mary Branch Elementary School on January 18, 2016 beginning at 7 p.m.
Winter newsletters have been printed and will be distributed to homes soon.
The board is actively pursuing a replacement for our accountant who is retiring. Anyone interested should speak to a board member.

Minutes from previous mtg.: reviewed and accepted; change of address for tonight’s meeting which is being held at James C’s home at 3200 Wilderness
Treasurer’s Report: $29,249.50

Old Business:
Tax Exempt Status will be discussed at next meeting
Park Entrance Sign – replacement still in progress
National Night Out: approx.. 70 adults and 40 kids, very good attendance
New Business:
Halloween Party will be held October 31; 5:30 – 7 p.m. Food and Costume contest
Newsletter will be going out in the coming weeks
Other Business:
Board will get estimates to trim trees in the park

Call to order: 7:10 p.m.

Others present: Alan Shearer
Minutes from previous mtg.: reviewed and accepted
Treasurer’s Report: $30,403.99
Block and Officer’s Report: No August meeting due to Summer Break
Alan Shearer of Hummingbird has reported that the basketball goal nets in the park are damaged. He has volunteered to replace them with nets made of chain.
Old Business:
Tax Exempt Status is awaiting completion of research
Park Entrance Sign – replacement still in progress
New Business:
National Night Out – neighborhood block parties October 6 in the park.
Flyers to be delivered within one week before then.
New HOA laws – 39 new Homeowners Association laws have been passed by the most recent TX legislature. They can be found at http://www.texashoalaw.com. All residents and homeowners are urged to read them. WECIA is in compliance with all HOA laws.

August 20 Board Meeting
The WECIA Board meeting scheduled for this Thursday evening has been cancelled.
Kenneth L. Adams has passed away
Rest in Peace –Kenneth L. Adams, 84, passed away On July 22, 2015, at his home on Westwood Main. Mr. Adams and his wife, Opal, were among the first residents of Westwood Estates. He was an Air Force Veteran. Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W 26th St. Bryan, Texas 77803

FaceBook page – was decided by board that it is unnecessary

Block and Officer’s Report: nothing to report
Old Business:
New Tire swing chain has broken. Will be replaced.
Park Entrance Sign – the sign needs to be replaced. Wording will be addressed at next meeting.
New Business:
Mosquito control – The City of Bryan has provided one case per HOA of mosquito control donuts (52 per case.) These are available to WECIA residents. Please contact Elaine Platt.
The Board will be filling in the low spot in the park with sand.
The Board will apply for tax exempt status.

Call to order: 7:05 p.m.

Treasurer’s Report: $32,792.99
Block and Officer’s Report: nothing to report
Old Business:
Playground – 3 additional pieces have been purchased and installed by Lone Star Recreation, Inc. The broken tire swing was taken down and replaced.
Erosion on Rolling Glen – Mike Stafford, Erosion Committee reported erosion concern to City of Bryan. The concern is that a fence has been built across the creek on the Hummingbird side and is causing a backup of creek water around home on Rolling Glen. Mr. Carter made a motion to have the erosion committee ask the City of Bryan to proceed with talking to concerned residents. Elaine P. 2nd the motion. The board voted and the motion carries.

New Business:

Number address on home – City ordinance requires that a house number be visible on the home itself; curb or mailbox numbers do not count as visible.
