Meeting minutes August 17

WECIA BOARD MEETING MINUTES 

August 17, 2026

Call to Order: 7:09 PM by Mark Coppock

Members Present: Mark Coppock, Laura Stafford, Jeannie Galindo

Visitors:  Mike Stafford, Katie from Association Services

Minutes Read and Approved: Motion to approve by Laura, seconded by Jeannie. Motion carried

Treasurer’s Report: $34,100 

Block Reports: Mini bikes in park- Mike talked to the family about the damage to the grass. Water still needs to be repaired- waiting on cooler temperatures. 

Resident Concerns: The association portal is not sending emails about meetings. Overgrowth along Traditions. Association Services will follow up with Public Works. Solid waste is not picking up limbs on Westwood Main by Dewberry. 

Old Business: Jun 5, 2026 insurance was paid. 

New Business: Upcoming events: NNO Oct. 6 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the park. We will not register.  Halloween in the Park- Oct. 31 from 6:00-7:00 pm. Motion made for up to $1200 for both events by Laura. Jeannie second. Motion carried. Laura will create a flier with both events. Mark will send information for a newsletter to be printed with fliers. 

ASBCS:  doing drive-throughs to spot code violations- Katie will let us know if this is an additional cost to us. Question on raising assessments. Ours are low compared to other neighborhood associations.   Issue of our bylaws not being filed: update quorum, voting, etc. to pass amendments.  Upcoming City of CS about the Neighborhood Partnership Workshop. 

Clyde Garland discussed the park. He has asked for up to $3000 to repair any rotting wood around the perimeter and the stairs. That would cover materials only. His labor would be free. Laura made a motion to support. Jeannie seconded. Motion carried.
